Zululanders respond to lockdown extension
Sentiments were mixed, but many praised the president for having the courage to undertake the difficult, yet necessary decision
THERE were mixed feelings among Zululanders in the wake of Thursday night’s announcement by President Cyril Ramaphosa of the lockdown extension.
With an extra two weeks tagged on to the 21-day lockdown period, which has already seen many small business owners anxious over their future, concerns were raised, but the overall sentiment was one of understanding.
Many agreed that had more citizens been obedient towards the lockdown regulations, an extension may not have been necessary.
In the responses, many praised the president for having the courage to undertake such a difficult, yet necessary decision despite the economic hardships already felt.
