THE Gift of the Givers Foundation has condemned a hoax message detailing how to make your own hand sanitiser with household products.
The message shared on Facebook and WhatsApp states that Gift of the Givers advised that three caps of Dettol to a litre of water works well as a hand sanitiser.

It then details a recipe for a sanitiser mix with ingredients that include Sunlight Liquid, lemon and vinegar.
The foundation said in a Facebook post that it was not the source of the information posted.
‘Please note that we have not created this message nor have we released it to the public and we do not condone its contents.’
