Police warn motorists after a couple is hijacked in Empangeni Durnford Road

The criminals drove around for about 10 minutes before dropping them off in the sugar cane plantation behind Empangeni Life Hospital, before absconding with his car

POLICE have warned motorists to be vigilant after a man and his girlfriend were hijacked in Durnford Road last week.

According to police, the victim reported that he parked his car on the side of the road as his girlfriend was not feeling well.

Five minutes later two armed men approached. They forced his girlfriend into the back of the car and he was ordered to the passenger seat.
