WATCH: Water wastage on Richards Bay’s beach

A LEAKING water shower at Richards Bay’s Alkantstrand showers is a cause of concern as residents worry over water wastage.

According to residents who frequent the beach, the shower has been running continuously for at least two weeks.

‘This is worrying and is not an ideal situation, especially as so many people do not have access to running water.

‘We are told to conserve water as the drought is not yet over, which makes this wastage unacceptable,’ said one resident.
