A police chopper is flying over the site in eSikhaleni where three family members drowned last Wednesday.
The three were part of a group of five playing on the sand bank at Ndindima Beach and were swept away by the rising tide.
Two survived the ordeal, and the body of one of the three was recovered close to Richards Bay on Friday.
