Koeberg back on line, no loadshedding today

Eskom has announced that there will be no loadshedding today (Sunday) as the system has gained 900MW from Koeberg Power Station’s unit one coming back on line following a planned outage.

The additional capacity brought on line, as well as lower demand over the weekend, has allowed us to replenish our pumped storage schemes, and we continue to work to improve on the levels of diesel at our open cycle gas turbine generations; said the power utility earlier today.

Eskom will issue a prognosis on the coming week later today.
