AS of 6pm this evening (Monday), stage 6 load shedding is not just on the cards, but a reality.
This after Eskom announced just after 5.30pm of the increase from stage 4.
A technical problem at Medupi Power Station, wet coal and ‘operational problems’ at several power stations are blamed.
Stage 6 means 6 000MW must be rotationally load shed, but that it was ‘no cause for alarm’.
Stage 6 schedules are available on Eskom website.
There was no mention of the duration of stage 6 load shedding.
