THIS weekend’s entertainment events and activities are focused around Richards Bay, with a good variety to choose from.
Markets, car shows and a bingo event are on the cards for Zululanders wanting to set out their weekend diary.
SATURDAY, 10am – 8pm – The NG Church Christmas market at 11 Galjoengolf, Meerensee. The market will include live music, a tea garden and a variety of food, quality arts and crafts and a kids’ zone. Entry fee is R15 for adults and R5 for school children
SATURDAY, 9am – 12 noon – The monthly SPCA market from 9am to 1pm at the organisation’s premises in Meerensee. If anyone would like to volunteer at the market days, contact the SPCA’s office on 035 7532086 between 8am and 3pm
SATURDAY, 9am – 2pm – The monthly Steel Bridge market in Richards Bay where many stalls will be open to browse and shop
SATURDAY, 10am – Fun bingo morning at Seagull Lodge in Arboretum hosted by the Richards Bay and Mzingazi Women’s Institutes (WI). Tickets cost R30. For more information phone 082 4578845
SATURDAY, 1pm – North Coast Riders presents the final Zululand Record Show at Birdswood Academy, with a show-and-shine, sound-off, bhangra, thunnee and dart competitions. For more information contact Kevin on 073 1217096
SATURDAY, 9am – The annual Mtunzini Rotary Arts in the Shade festival which will include many fun activities including a bonsai raffle for rhinos
