THE ZULULAND community can enjoy Diwali celebrations in Richards Bay thanks to the Zululand Diwali

Committee who have organised a jam-packed programme for this Saturday at the Brackenham Primary School Hall from noon.

Commemorating the Zululand Diwali Festival’s 29th anniversary, organisers have pulled out all the stops to mark the milestone with a variety of activities, talent shows, leading artists and bands, coupled with a host of stalls and exhibitions for the ultimate Eastern shopping experience.

Promoting the vision of uniting different communities, people from different religious and cultural backgrounds and ethnic groups are invited to join in the festivities.

A Miss Diwali pageant and a fireworks display are also on the programme, as is a ceremony to honour and acknowledge some of the founding visionaries of Brackenham.

The festival committee stalwarts and community icons have been instrumental in positioning Zululand as a destination of choice by attracting local and international artists to the city.
