A SWIFT response by the eShowe Family Violence and Sexual Offences Unit led to the arrest of a 33-year-old rape suspect outside eShowe.
It is alleged that last Sunday the victim (11) went to her neighbour at around 10pm.
On arrival the suspect performed indecent acts with her before she managed to escape.

She ran back home and reported the matter to her aunt.
A rape case was opened at eShowe SAPS and the victim was taken to hospital for an examination.
The case was transferred to the eShowe FCS for investigation and the suspect was traced and arrested the next day.
He appeared in the eShowe Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday and the case was remanded to this Wednesday for a bail application.
eShowe Station Commander, Col ZP Mdletshe, commended the members for the quick arrest of the suspect.
