The school with the most finishing participants will win R21k

It’s almost time for the annual Mondi Schools Challenge.

Local schools are invited to come out in numbers and enter as many learners as possible into the annual Mondi Schools Challenge.

The total limit of entries is 4000, but the school with the most finishing participants stand a chance of winning big bucks.

R21 000 in prize money will go to the school with the most finishers. The second place prize is R17 000 and the third place prize is R15 000.

Schools that do not make it to the top 3 will be entered into a lucky draw to win R10 000.

The Mondi Schools Challenge is set to take place on Sunday 14 July.

Participants can either run or walk an easy 5km route, starting and finishing at the Bay Hall area in Richards Bay.

An entry fee of R10 per participant applies. Registration will take place on Saturday 13 July from 15:00 to 17:00. Please note that there will be no registration on the Sunday.

The race starts at 9am.

All entry fees will go towards charity and Mondi CSI projects.

Anyone is welcome to enter. You do not have to be affiliated to a school to enter. All you have to do is choose a school to represent and you will count towards their numbers.
