A YOUNG woman was allegedly raped after accepting a lift home from a man she had met on the day.
The 24-year-old victim opened a case at Empangeni SAPS last week and reported that she had spent the day at a sports field in Richards Bay where she, along with another group of people, was watching a sport match.
One of the men offered to give her a lift to her home in Empangeni but instead took her to a lodge.

She reported that they had both been drinking prior to the incident and that when they got to the lodge, the man demanded that she remove her clothes.
He then had unprotected sex with her.
The matter is still under investigation and no arrests have been made yet.
