Richards Bay corporate supports local learners with school shoes donation

Two Richards Bay schools, Lizwi High School and Kati Primary School benefit from school shoe programme

Hillside Aluminium has sponsored R1-million to the Inkanyiso School Shoe Programme and made a huge difference in the lives of learners that at times go barefoot to school.

Inkanyiso is a social enterprise that empowers and provides school shoes to the most disadvantaged learners in rural areas that fall under King Cetswayo District, particularly schools within the host community which is City of uMhlathuze.

Youngsters celebrate by holding up their boxes of school shoes sponsored by Hillside Aluminium

Hillside Corporate Affairs team together with community partners Inkanyiso NPO School Shoe Project visited Lizwi High School in Mandlanzini to hand over 658 pairs of school shoes and then travelled to Kati Primary to hand over 100 pairs of shoes.

Both schools welcomed the generous donations.
