RICHARDS Bay police urge local businesses to be alert when vendors visit their premises selling goods or services.

According to police Communications Officer, Captain Debbie Ferreira, a man selling perfumes visited one business in the Richards Bay CBD on two different days and cell phones were taken from staff members’ desks.

In another incident last week, two men entered a fabric and textile business posing as customers, and while one distracted a staff member, the other snatched a cellphone from a nearby office.
