Two suspects charged for Mpembeni murders to appear in court this morning
‘MBEMBE you killed our brothers’
This is the song Mpembeni residents are currently singing outside the eSikhawini Magistrate’s Court as they wait with anticipation for the outcome of a bail application of two murder suspects.
The large group is united with one message, for the courts not to grant bail to Justice Ngwane (36) and Tholinhlahla Makhanya (32).
The two are charged with the murders of Ntuthuko Dladla and Gundane Dube (38), who was assassinated in his car.
They will later also appear in the Ngwelezana Magistrate’s Court for the murder of Wiseman Hadebe – a train driver at Transnet Freight Rail who was gunned down in a brazen hit outside the Emzini Wezinsizwa Tavern in Ngwelezana in November.
