Free rabies clinics

The Hluhluwe State Vet is holding the rabies clinics in KZN's northern region

IT is against the law for any pet owner not to vaccinate their animals against rabies.

To highlight the importance of rabies vaccinations and to make it possible for all pet owners to comply with the law, the Hluhluwe State Vet is holding a host of free rabies clinics for all dogs and cats.

The clinics are set to take place as follows:

Tuesday, 27 November – Mkhuze (airport building) from 12.30pm to 3pm and Hluhluwe Rugby Club from 4.30pm to 6pm.

Wednesday, 28 November – Monzi Golf Club from 7am to 10.30am and at St Lucia Library from 2pm to 5pm.

Thursday, 29 November – Riverview Cricket Club (Mtubatuba) from 7am to 10.30am and at Mtubatuba Rugby Club from 3pm to 6pm.

KZN is in the grips of a rabies epidemic from which a few people have died after contracting the disease from infected animals.

All pet owners are urged to make the effort to have their pets vaccinated against the disease.
