Need for early childhood centres highlighted

THERE is a great need for early childhood development centres in the country, as they play a pivotal role in the development of future leaders.

This was the opinion of KwaDukuza Deputy Mayor Dolly Govender, speaking at the handover of an early childhood facility in Driefontein (Ward 21).

The Driefontein early childhood facility will cater for 60 disadvantaged children, whose parents leave home early in the morning to seek work in plantations and construction sites.

According to Govender more than R1-million was invested in the project.
