AS part of promoting KwaDukuza as an attractive investment destination, Mayor of KwaDukuza Municipality Dr Ricardo Mthembu joined the Trade and Investment KZN business mission to the Russian Federation.
The one week business mission which began last week was led by MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Sihle Zikalala.
During this trip, Mthembu, met with business leaders and captains of industries that were of interest to KwaDukuza, to promote and encourage joint venture possibilities.

In his brief stint at the Russian Federation, Mthembu appealed to international businesses to explore opportunities to expand their business in markets found in KwaDukuza or those with a strong potential to be established in the region.
He also prayed to business to participate in business development programmes for emerging businesses with a hope that at a later stage the beneficiaries of such programmes will export their products and services to the Russian Federation.
While persuading investors, he also asked local business to also look at possible joint ventures abroad and present their interest to Trade and Investment KZN, so that it is not only businesses abroad coming to South Africa but is also the local businesses going abroad.
