Help Zululand SPCAs
The campaign aims to have Zululand businesses challenge each other to match or better existing donations
ZULULAND businesses and corporates are reminded to show their support for the region’s local SPCAs by participating in the ZO ‘Paws for Cause’ fund-raising drive.
All monies raised will, at the end of the three-month drive, be divided equally between Empangeni, eShowe and Richards Bay SPCAs.
The idea is to give them each the cash boost they so desperately need, being NPOs surviving predominantly on donations and sponsorship.
Maintenance is high on the priority list for all three SPCAs, as the money they are able to raise goes to running costs which, owing to the high number of animals in their care, escalates each month.

One thing each SPCA has in common is the dire need of fence repairs.
Specialist fencing is required, so the SPCAs prefer to buy it themselves, which makes this something of vital importance on which funds donated would be spent.
Roof repairs and replacements are also a common need shared by all three SPCAs, and help in the form of funds towards this, or sponsorship, is welcomed.
Heavy rains experienced in the past months have exacerbated an already dire situation.
