DEMI-LEIGH Nel-Peters (23) is South Africa’s sweetheart, and first stole our hearts when she won Miss South Africa in 2017, going on to stun the world with her whit, grace and beauty before being crowned Miss Universe.
But it seems she has now stolen someone else’s heart, and a certain US sports star gushed about her during an ESPN interview, officially confirming their relationship.
Tim Tebow (30) is a football and baseball star who played in the NFL (National Football League) as the star quarterback for both the Jets and Broncos.
He then famously switched not only sides – but sports – when he turned pro baseballer and joined the New York Mets.
This could be where he met Demi-Leigh, as she’s currently a New York resident.
What do we know about him?
Tebow is not only a respected athlete, but is open about his Christianity and his promise to remain chaste until marriage.
His parents were both Baptist Church missionaries and they took their five children (Tim is the youngest) with them while they worked around the world.
He’s also a New York Times best-selling author.
In 2011, HarperCollins released ‘Through My Eyes’, an autobiography that Tebow co-wrote with author Nathan Whitaker. It spent 24 weeks on the New York Times best seller list and was named the #1 sports book of 2011, as well as the bestselling religious book of year.
