Massive water wastage as multiple pipes burst in Brackenham

Thousands of litres of water down the drain caused by aging burst pipes

SEVERAL burst pipes in Brackenham on Wednesday and Thursday have left residents with interrupted or no water supply.

According to Ward 26 Councillor Leslie Joseph, the suburb has been experiencing water problems since the beginning of the week and from Wednesday about six pipes in different streets have burst.

‘The problem is the result of aging infrastructure as the current pipes are about 40 years old,’ said Joseph.
