Madiba day challenge to blood donors

This one action will make a difference for more than just one day

Blood donors can make a difference for more than a day when they participate in the South African National Blood Services Madiba Day Challenge on 18 July, which is encouraging the public to collect more than 67 units of blood.

Once again, the global community will celebrate Mandela Day, a day on which citizens all over the world are called on to give 67 minutes of their time to making a difference in the communities they live in.

The Richards Bay Blood Donor Centre at Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre is inviting new and regular donors to adopt July as Mandela Month and make a difference by donating blood.

By donating, this one action will make a difference for more than just one day and is one of the simplest ways to enhancing the lives of others; one can continue to do it every 56 days.

To become a blood donor you must be between the ages of 16 to 65, weigh more than 50kg and lead a sexually safe lifestyle.
