Focus on Zululand growth and development
The summit emphasised how best to address the challenges of unemployment and poverty
Zululand District Mayor Thulasizwe Buthelezi has appealed to business communities to invest in the Zululand region to unlock rural development.
Buthelezi was speaking at the two-day Zululand Growth and Development Summit held last week at the Nongoma Inn.
The summit was organised by the Zululand District Municipality in partnership with its constituent local municipalities, with special emphasis on how best to address the challenges of unemployment and poverty.
‘With this summit we seek to recognise the leadership role of the provincial government’s strategic rationale to confront unemployment in the region.
‘This is also an initiative of driving integrated, holistic, sustainable and participatory growth and development within the Zululand region.’
