Proposed health bill changes will affect millions of South Africans

The Department of Health will be implementing four National Health Insurance (NHI) projects that will focus on schools and mental health, complicated pregnancies and oncology services.

The essence of the NHI is that the rich must subsidise the poor, the young must subsidise the old and the healthy must subsidise the sick.
