Local artist putting Zululand on the map

IF you haven’t heard the name Muzi Mazibuko – AKA ‘Muzi’ – or listened to any of his songs, chances are you are missing out on one of South Africa’s most promising, up and coming electronic music producers and artists.

Last week the Ngwelzane-born 27-year-old released his second album, ‘Afrovision,’ and today the music video for one of the albums 13 tracks (Nu Day) will air on ChannelO at 4pm.

The EDM Producer/Artist even had Black Coffee hyped over the release of his new album – Screenshot: Twitter

After meeting in the summer of 2015 at the Music Exchange in London, MOBO award winner Stormzy traveled to South Africa to check out the local music scene with producer Muzi.

Noisey were there to document the trip as the two artists discovered their similarities, and Stormzy learnt about gqom music and Zulu culture.
