WATCH: Eteza weighbridge curbs truck overloading

SINCE its inception, the Eteza Traffic Control Centre (TCC) has helped decrease the number of overloaded trucks through its stringent safety checks and procedures.

Vehicles are also checked for general roadworthiness, including brakes, wheel alignment, and oil and water leaks.

Should any trucks bypass the control centre, cameras on the N2 photograph their registration plates and log them on the system.

Their details are passed on to traffic police who issue a fine.
