Toll tariffs to increase next week

The increases take into account the VAT increase

MOTORISTS will next week be burdened with another increase as the toll tariffs are set to rise nationwide.

The adjustment was last week approved by Minister of Transport, Dr Blade Nzimande, and will come into effect on Thursday, 12 April.

In a statement issued by the SA National Roads Agency (SANRAL), the agency said the tariff adjustments are in accordance with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) over the preceding 12 months and include the VAT increase from 14% to 15% which took effect this week.
