Community called upon to save water

City of uMhlathuze officials held an educative save water campaign in eSikhaleni on Tuesday

AS part of National Water Awareness Week, City of uMhlathuze officials held a save water campaign at uMkhobose in eSikhaleni on Tuesday morning.

The aim was to educate the community about the importance of water and tips on how to save it.

Involved in the campaign were community volunteers, government officials as well as representatives of the city’s water and sanitation department.

Officials pleaded with the community to report water leakages to help save water.

They also supplied residents with buckets to store water from the municipality’s tanks around the area.

The positive campaign included an educational programme, a theatre project about water by the King Cetshwayo Theatrical Society.
