King Cetshwayo Cluster police spokesperson, Capt Mbongeni Mdlalose, urged the public to be vigilant when withdrawing money at ATMs.

‘Always look around for people who may be watching you and pay attention to any kind of suspicious activity.

‘We are approaching Easter weekend and people will tend to carry lots of cash with them.’

Mdlalose said a case of common assault and robbery has been opened and will be investigated by Empangeni SAPS.
