THE search for missing Cape Town botanists, Rod (74) and Rachael (63) Saunders might soon be over.
The ZO has been able to confirm that a fourth suspect, known as ‘Bazooka,’ has led police and members of the Hawks to the Tugela River Mouth where their bodies are believed to have been dumped.
According to a source close to the ZO, Bazooka is pointing out the area in which the bodies of the elderly couple had been dumped.

Reports suggest the couple were murdered, their bodies tied up in sleeping bags, and dumped in the Tugela River.
While Search and Rescue Units together with the Hawks begin operations to try and recover the bodies, it might be too little too late to find any remains.
The Tugela River is notorious for being home to hundreds of crocodiles and, with some seven weeks having passed since the couple was abducted, the chances of recovering anything are slim.
The ZO previously reported that Bazooka was the outstanding piece of the puzzle in the case of the missing Saunders couple.

Since the arrests of Bazooka’s accomplices, Sayfudeen Aslam Del Vecchio (38) and Bibi Fatima Patel (27) on 15 February, a provincial manhunt has been launched to find the whereabouts of the Malawian national who was deemed to have played an integral role in the abduction of the pair.
