A 39-year-old woman was beaten to death on Friday night at the hands of her hammer-wielding boyfriend at eNseleni.
According to reports, a quarrel between Sibusiso Nxumalo (40) and his girlfriend Sizakele Nyawo (39) broke out at approximately 7.30pm on Friday evening.
Nxumalo is believed to have lost his temper and used a hammer to continuously beat Nyawo, who succumbed to her wounds not long after.

Nxumalo was arrested by eNseleni police that same evening and appeared in the Empangeni District Court on Monday.
His case was postponed to 6 April for further investigation.
He refused bail and remains in custody until his next appearance.
