Northern Zululand: Three drown in flash flooding including a 7-year-old boy

A seven-year-old boy was on Monday confirmed dead after drowning in the Mnyameni area, near eShowe.

According to reports, the boy was attempting to cross a low lying bridge before falling and drowning.

Mtunzini SAPS were called in to assist with the recovery of the boy’s body, which was found by community members.

Meanwhile the Zululand Observer received information about two more drownings in the Ezibayeni area, near Hluhluwe. No further details could be obtained at the time.
