Three armed suspects entered the office building and demanded cash

A CASE of business robbery is under investigation after a drop safe was blown up at the Ulundi Plaza Engen garage on Monday morning.

Three armed suspects entered the office building and demanded cash.

Zululand Cluster police spokesperson, Captain Nkosie Gwala, told the ZO that after taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the tills, the suspects locked all the employees in one of the toilets and blew up the drop safe using explosives, from which more cash was removed.

Gwala said a white Toyota Quantum with no number plates was used as the getaway vehicle.

No one was injured in the incident.
