Community mourns loss of motoring stalwart

She was the daughter of Magdelena Vermaak and Petrus Vermaak, and was born in Durban on 4 April, 1974

FAMILY, friends and the local motor industry are mourning the passing Juanita Woodhouse, who died following a long illness last week.

She was the daughter of Magdelena Vermaak and Petrus Vermaak, and was born in Durban on 4 April, 1974.

She leaves behind her parents, brother Arrie Roux, sister Iris Janse Van Rensburg, husband Craig Woodhouse – who she married in 1997 – and beloved daughters Jayde (19) and Shannon (15).

‘Never before have we known a person with such a big heart, a person who would treat everybody

equally, a person with such honesty, passion for life and a love for mankind,’ said her husband Craig.

‘She has left a piece of herself with every person she has befriended, and she will be sorely missed.

‘She will be remembered as the angel that she now is.’

Juanita was well-known in the local motoring industry.

Juanita joined Inyanga Motors in 2003 as a Jeep Sales Executive.

‘She was absolutely passionate about the brand and she became synonymous with everything Jeep from the day she started,’ said her friend and colleague, Eva Jansen.

She was promoted to Chrysler Jeep Dodge Sales Manager in May 2007 and was held in high regard by Jeep head office for her achievements with the brand.

‘Juanita was part of the team that won the Chrysler Jeep Dodge Dealer of the Year 2004 award for Inyanga Motors, and won many awards as Sales Executive and Manager during her time with us,’ said Jansen.

After 11 happy years, she left Inyanga Motors in 2014 to relocate with her family to Port Elizabeth and continued her career with Jeep at Maritime Motors.

‘She will always be remembered by staff and customers as being outgoing , passionate, loyal and absolutely committed.’

A memorial service will be held this Saturday at the Old Apostolic Church in Empangeni (next to Eagle Creek Spur) at 11am.
