Boardwalk drives recycling and stationery projects

The 'reduce, reuse and recycle' drive will be held outside Boardmans inside the mall and will serve as a platform to deliver a positive message regarding the importance of recycling

RECYCLING and back to school programmes will be held at the Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre in Richards Bay this Saturday.

The ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ drive will be held outside Boardmans inside the mall and will serve as a platform to deliver a positive message regarding the importance of recycling.

A back to school competition will run simultaneously and will include questions on recycling. Shoppers will stand a chance to win great prizes.

Zululanders are also encouraged to place recyclable material into Mpact boxes within the mall, as well as donating stationery for children at Amangwe Village. These can be placed into boxes outside Woolworths and Boardmans.

‘We understand the value of education, which is why we have partnered with Amangwe Village for a much needed stationery drive.Ultimately, we aim to ensure that every child will have his or her their own basic stationery,’ said Boardwalk’s Marketing Manager Angelique Wright.

Zululanders can donate pens, pencils, crayons, scissors, rulers, erasers, as well as unused A4 and A5 books and exam pads, files and even play dough, paints and other stationery items.

The back to school drive will end on Wednesday, 31 January.
