IN light of many recent instances of gill nets being pulled out of Richards Bay’s waterways, there will be a public meeting to address the issue.
The meeting is open to all members of the public and will be held at 6pm tomorrow (Wednesday) at Richards Bay Country Club.

Anne McDonnell, the DA Spokesperson on Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, is urging all stakeholders, including SAPS, DAFF, Transnet, as well as many members of the public as possible to attend.
‘The idea is to take the concerns of the public to provincial government, to get more permanent coastal management plans in place,’ said McDonnell.
