WATCH: Emergency helicopter rescue in Sodwana
After receiving a call about a patient suffering a medical emergency
A CRITICALLY ill patient was yesterday (Thursday) airlifted from the beach at Sodwana Bay and taken to a private hospital down the coast.
After receiving a call about a patient suffering a medical emergency, IPSS Medical Rescue paramedics were flown to the scene in a dedicated HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) resource, operated by Black Eagle Aviation.
The patient was stabilised by paramedics on scene before being airlifted to a private medical facility for treatment.
