IN what appears to be a domestic incident, a man was shot and killed yesterday (Wednesday) morning at his home in Madlanzini.
Information is somewhat sketchy, but according to initial reports the victim’s female cousin had been at his homestead.
A man arrived and reportedly tried to remove the woman from the homestead against her will.
An argument between suspect and victim ensued, and the victim was shot.
He was rushed to a clinic in Madlanzini where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect fled the scene.
‘Richards Bay police are investigating a case of murder and following up on all information, but for now it appears to be a domestic related case,’ said Richards Bay SAPS Communications Officer, Captain Debbie Ferreira.
