A KWAMSANE man recently appeared in court on charges of rape after he was caught in the act raping his 12-year-old granddaughter.
This after the abuse reportedly began two years ago.
The incident occurred at the suspect’s home in Nkombose Reserve near KwaMsane.
According to police reports, the suspect’s stepdaughter called the victim and when there was no response, she found her sleeping on the suspect’s bed.
The suspect was also in the bedroom.
When questioned about what had happened, the victim said she had been sexually assaulted and that it had been going on since 2015.
The 52-year-old suspect was arrested on charges of rape.
