A VIDEO depicting extreme animal abuse and cruelty that took place in Mthonjaneni has been sent to the Zululand Observer.
It is a graphic video and sensitive viewers are advised against viewing it.
It shows a number of men surrounding a dog which appears to be tied to a fence with a piece of wire.
One of the men has a firearm and is taunting the dog, shooting around it and also appearing to shoot to injure the dog.
Finally, he gets closer to the dog and shoots it at close range before walking away.
Throughout the ordeal, the dog can be heard yelping while it attempts to jump away from the bullets.
The Zululand Observer has reported the matter to the National Council of SPCAs (NSPCA), whose staff will conduct an investigations.
