WATCH: Hospice lights burn brightly

Hospice Tree of Light switched on in memory of loved ones

THE annual Zululand Hospice Tree of Light function held at the Zululand Observer grounds on Tuesday evening was a well-supported and moving experience.

Members of the public joined Hospice in a full programme that culminated in the switching on of the tree lights – each globe representing a lost loved one.

The remembrance ceremony also paid tribute to the wonderful work done by Hospice caregivers, with patients’ stories and inspirational messages being shared.

Guests settled on the lawn at the Zululand Observer to appreciate the proceedings

A special ‘Hospice song’ was rendered by local songbird Michelle Jooste and thanks to sponsors, MC Keith Eaton, sound man Stephen Roux and participants, the message of hope, encouragement and grief-sharing support was well presented and gratefully received.
