AT around 9.30am today (Wednesday) a lightening bolt struck the main admin and reception building at Heuwelland Primary School, slightly injuring the school principal.
Wynand Strydom spoke to our reporter about his close call, immediately following the incident.
He was shocked, but was not hospitalized.
He was assessed by medics.
No children were injured, and there is no cause for alarm.
The school power and, most importantly, telephone lines will be out of order until further notice.
