THE eShowe Regional Court convicted Ronnie Naidoo (51) to 12 years imprisonment last Monday for the murder of Cheryl Gounden.
The sentencing related to an incident on 13 February when the accused entered the ZT Stationery store in eShowe at around 3pm.
The court heard that Naidoo approached his 43-year-old victim working at the store and shot her three times.
He ran away and was arrested the next day.
The victim was hospitalised and passed away last month.
Naidoo pleaded guilty.
