Arrested for possession of stolen goods

Appliances valued at R80 000 recovered from uMlalazi homestead

WORKING at night on Thursday, 14 September, Detectives Sergeant Majozi, Const Mthethwa and Const Mhlanga responded on information they had received of stolen property at a house in the uMlalazi area outside eShowe.

They went to the identified homestead and recovered appliances including refrigerators, stoves and sound equipment to the value of R80 000.

A female owner (52) of the house was arrested on a charge of possession of stolen goods and appeared in eShowe Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

The case was remanded to 6 October.

The eShowe SAPS Station Commissioner, Col Mfuneni Mathenjwa congratulated the members for their good work.
