Umphongolo brings hope to young woman

The doctor also encouraged the learners to think about their future by forging healthy friendships, especially when away from their parents

WOMEN across the region came together in celebration of Women’s Day and it was no different for the uMphongolo Women’s Club, whose members celebrated the day by visiting young women at Dlangezwa Boarding School.

The event included a special prayer service and motivational talks from various speakers, including the University of Zululand’s Dr Zimbili Zondi, who taught the girls about self-discipline as the best way to a healthy future.

The doctor also encouraged the learners to think about their future by forging healthy friendships, especially when away from their parents.

Her last word to the girls was when she encouraged them to stay away from drugs, especially in the wake of many South African teenagers having lost their lives to drugs.
