Cyclist Wayne Bolton, accompanied by OLLI the fibreglass rhino, and their support team will soon be riding through Zululand to spread a message of rhino conservation.
This expedition forms part of the One Land Love It (#OLLI2017) Frontier Ride, a 2000km journey through the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal to create awareness about rhino poaching and raise funds for anti-poaching initiatives.
Wayne started his journey in the Eastern Cape and will be riding all the way to the Mozambican border, stopping at 20 various game reserves along the way.
A life-size, fibreglass rhino named OLLI, is journeying along the 2000KM route to create awareness for these critically endangered animals and is being towed by the support vehicle, sponsored by Avis Van Rental. #wetryharder.

The rhino poaching statistics can’t be ignored.
‘I feel the compelling need to do what I can to help halt the decimation of our world rhino species. South Africa is home to about 95% of the world’s white rhino and 40% of the critically endangered black rhino,’ Wayne said.
‘As much as my focus has been on saving our rhino population, it is clear that the problem is a lot broader than just our rhino. The world has lost three fifths of her vertebrate numbers since 1970 through habitat loss, over-consumption, pollution, invasive species and disease.
‘Extinction cannot be our Legacy – the time has come to move from caring to doing.’
