AS the big day for the annual Regional Business Achievers Awards approaches, the Businesswomens’ Association on Monday revealed the leading locals in the running for the accolades.

Finalists in the Entrepreneur category are Judy Motala (Fampak owner) and Nqobile Xulu Nene (Beads Magazine founder and CEO); in the Professional category are Ronelle Ramsamy (Managing Editor at the Zululand Observer), Dr Jayeshnee Moodley (Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Empangeni Life Private Hospital) and Teresa Wickham (Deputy Head at Felixton College).

In the Social category are Nonhlanhla Ngonyama (founder and CEO of Beautiful Pillars), Mary Mlambo (Executive Director at Lungelo Youth Development) and Michelle Jewlal (Director of LifeLine Zululand).

In the Corporate category are Zanele Mthiyane (General Manager of Health, Safety, Environment & Compliance at RBCT) and Christina Reddy (Senior Operations Manager for Transnet in Richards Bay); and in government are Siziwe MKhonza (National Prosecuting Authority) and King Cetshwayo District Municipality Mayor Ntombenhle Mkholisi.

The glitzy affair will be held on Wednesday evening, 28 June, at the Premier Hotel The Richards with Nox Ntuli of Bloom Marketing as keynote speaker and a live performance by band Deep Breath.
