Unizulu denies abandoning rape investigation

This follows a weekend City Press newspaper article which claims the university halted an internal probe into the allegations made by a former student

THE University Of Zululand (Unizulu) has denied reports that it abandoned an internal investigation into rape allegations levelled against two senior staff members.
‘As a tertiary institution that views the well-being of its students as a top priority, the University of Zululand regarded all allegations of rape in an extremely serious light and would not neglect to investigate any claims made against staff members in this regard,’ said Vice Chancellor Professor Xoliswa Mtose.
