MKUZE police assisted by various SAPS units arrested a 26 year-old man for robbery at business premises last Monday.
It is alleged the accused went into a supermarket shortly before 7pm, held employees hostage at gunpoint and demanded money.
Mkuze uniformed police were alerted, and the National Intervention Unit, Hostage Negotiators, Tactical Response Team and the K9 Unit swiftly responded.
On their arrival they found the suspect inside the shop, holding the employees hostage.
