A WOMAN is fighting for her life in hospital after reportedly being stabbed 24 times on Saturday by her boyfriend at a tavern in Mzingazi.
The incident occurred at about 3pm at the Why Not Tavern.
The couple, who live in Cape Town, were in Mzingazi on holiday, visiting the woman’s family.
According to eyewitnesses, they had been at the tavern with friends when they started arguing.
In an intoxicated state, the boyfriend pulled out a knife and started stabbing the woman in the head, chest and arm.
